År: 1918
-
Lengde: 8 mins

Beskrivelse: The film opens with Oxford Street in London and declares that "luxury shopping" is not helping the war effort. This is contrasted with the ways in which women do help: a mother looking after her two small children while her husband serves in the trenches, munitions workers, nurses at a hospital, drivers and mechanics of the WAAC in France, drivers of military ambulances, and women special constables in Britain. The film ends with the enquiry "CAN YOU HELP ?"
British propaganda film of the contribution of some women to the war effort, contrasted with the extravagance of others, 1918.
